Deanna Burnett

1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
My husband, Randall, and I are known as the “Adventures of D & R.B.” Our initials. We love to take mundane everyday activities and turn them into a fun date night adventure. A particularly fun date that I recall is when we went to the Eye Doctor, of all places, then had dinner afterwards. We had the best time trying on different styles of glasses, impersonating characters, and just belly laughing at our ridiculousness.

2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
The two most important things in my kitchen are my blue kitchen aid blender and my scented candle. To some it’s just a candle, but to our family, the lighting of the candle each evening before dinner signifies unity and transition in our home.

3.What do you love to cook and why?
Due to my current circumstances, accomplishments in life, and all of God’s blessings, people often assume that my upbringing was dreamy. To be completely honest, that could not be any further from the truth. That’s really why I’m here, to provide hope to others. As Mrs. International, that would allow me to bless others, embrace my platform: Laps of Love; and change the lives of young people and their futures throughout the world!

4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
I began my career in Marketing. At just 30 years old, I climbed the corporate ladder and obtained my dream job as a Project Manager. Now, I am the CEO of Burnett Motorsports. Throughout my career, I have led cross functional teams to deliver new marketing campaigns and products; as well as launched a national sales force. I began these projects by ensuring that all team members understood the project objectives and their responsibilities clearly.

5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
There’s a verse, Isaiah 41:10 that says: “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” As a Christian Woman, I look at fear differently; believe God is my strength; and live everyday in God confidence. The importance of fear is evident in the Bible as it is referenced 365 times.
